Norman Sorensen
Norman is a native of Wyoming, and has been in Rapid City with Mountain Plains Audiology since November 1999. Norman graduated from Utah State University in 1992 with a B.S. in Communication Disorders, and from Ohio University in 1994 with an MA in Hearing and Speech Sciences- Audiology. He has previously worked in a hospital in Texas and an ENT clinic in Oregon prior to coming to South Dakota. Norman especially enjoys educating people about hearing loss and how to prevent it, as well as helping those with hearing loss to enjoy their friends and family relations through better hearing.
Norman and his wife Terri have five children: Ashley, Emily, Caitlyn, Wesley, and Edwin. Norman enjoys spending time with his family, is active in the Boys Scouts, and enjoys hiking, hunting, geocaching, Jeeping, and camping. The Sorensen family currently reside near Hermosa and spend their spare time exploring the Black Hills.
Laura Elshire
Laura has worked at Mountain Plains Audiology since August of 2001. She has lived in Rapid City since 1981. Laura and her husband Jeremy enjoy the Black Hills area very much for its beauty and all the available outdoor activities offered here. Laura also enjoys spending her free time with her family and relations.
Laura enjoys working with all of our patients at Mountain Plains Audiology because it is a family-oriented business where you are sure to feel at home.
Patti Lamias
Patti has worked at Mountain Plains Audiology since May of 2001. She has lived in Rapid City since 1978. Patti was a ?military brat' and has never lived anywhere for as long as she has lived in Rapid City. She met her husband Jake in Germany and got to see a lot of Europe, and came to Rapid City as military transplants. They both agree that this area has been a wonderful place to raise a family, having raised three grown children in the area. They have come to love the Black Hills.
Patti feels that working at Mountain Plains Audiology is like working for a family, and feels that all our patients are special to us.
